Classical Music Appreciation (Whole term program INCLUDING assessment)
I created this program for my year 4 class as a way to get them to discover 'classical' music and compare and contrast to 'classic' music. Note Values and Rhythm Composition Basics
This SMART Notebook file is an excellent way engage students in learning note values and composing basic rhythm compositions. The color-coded boxes support student understanding and have notes and rests that equal the same amount of beats. The material presented on page 2 is intended for direct instruction on note values. This information will only work when teaching time signatures with a 4 on the bottom (2/4, 3/4. 4/4, 5/4, etc.) On page 3 and 4 there are pull tabs with directions for use.
