This is a smart notebook lesson which is an author's study on the author Laura Numeroff. In the lesson students learn what cause and effect are and have a chance to read and discover some of her books like "If you give a Mouse A Cookie, etc.) Then they brainstorm their own cause and effect story titles and finally write their own story in the style of Laura Numeroff.
