I give this activity to students after we have learned about some of Africa's ancient civilizations from 1000 BC- 1500 AD. You provide any blank map of Africa, with or without borders, and they do the rest! It is a great project for kids to work in pairs on, can easily be turned into a poster and/or presentation activity, and can be modified to include more or less locations based on your needs._____________________________________________________________________________________________________
