Document Based Question: The Laws of St. Laurent and the Hunt of 1875
Through an examination of six primary and secondary sources students are guided through a series of investigations focusing on the historical thinking benchmark of Evidence & Interpretation. In particular, students interrogate the use of "loaded" language in sources and ultimately inquire whether "the Metis were justified in creating the Laws of St. Laurent to regulate the buffalo hunt of 1875."
