ISN Grading Rubric Updated
This is an updated version of my original ISN grading rubric. This emphases put more weight on note and assignment completion. I have maintained a focus on the the organizational skills of a table of contents, page numbers and dates.
For example: Consider a student who has completed all assignments and notes in entirety.
Original: The students would score an 8/20 (40%).

Grading Rubric for Homeworks and Quizzes
This grading rubric will help students complete their homework and quizzes. It is a 4-point scale (4 being the best, 1 being the minimum) which describes the work that is expected at each level. The categories are directions, content, care taken/grammar, and presentation. I have found that students get used to using the rubric and seriously try to get their work up to the "4" level. Student Self Evaluation Tool
We recently concluded our first 9 weeks. I put this tool together to help students assess their contribution to the classroom. This evaluation uses both free response questions and statements that require the students to rate themselves on a scale of 1-3. Writing Reflection
As a class, we created a WIDA writing scale that explains what is expected at each level according to the WIDA writing rubric. We also wrote example writings for each level so students can compare their writing with each level.
This is a reflection sheet for students to fill out after a published draft. They reference the writing rubric to determine their level. They must write and highlight the evidence to justify their level.
