This file contains an I can checklist for each ELA common core standard. It provides the learning goal (or the standard which is our long term goal). The learning goal is then broken up by bullets that contain short term goals for the students to attain in order to meet the long term goal. When I want to go more in-depth with improving spelling performance I have students take a pretest at the beginning of the week and then use the rubric to give themselves a level.
