900 Daily Journals, Do-Nows, Bellringers for Middle and High School Classes

Created by
Chris Morth
This is a collection of the roughly 900 daily journals/do-nows/bellringers that I've created in a variety of my classes over the past 10+ years. Roughly half of them are general enough that they could be used in almost any type of classroom while the remaining 50% are geared towards an English classroom. When you purchase this product, you'll get a document that has a link to the Google Folder where all the PowerPoints are (I had to do it this way because TPT has a 200MB limit).

Here is one example of a rubric I have used when implementing interactive notebooks in my geography courses. The HOTLINK is how students link the information they were given by the teacher to their lives. They need to be able to make connections to course work that they can relate to in some way, shape, or form. I typically will give all points for really detailed pics/writing even though the rubric asks for more. Let's face it, high school kids are busy with sports, clubs, other classes, boy/gi

I use this Correction form in my math class. It is a template that requires students to rework the problems they missed on an assessment and also write a statement about what they learned from the mistake they made! I think reflecting on the mistake helps them learn from it. Also, I allow my kids to earn back points they missed on the assessment by completing this form.

TEACHERS, ARE YOU EXPOSED TO A LAWSUIT?

It is vital that you, as a school teacher, know whether you are exposed, in any form, degree, or manner to a lawsuit by a student or by the parents or caregivers (called “Guardians Ad Litem”) representing them; or whether you could at any time be made part of a named group of teachers and administrators who are the subjects of a lawsuit. Social studies offers valuable insights into history, geography, and much more. Social studies captivates students by providing them with perspectives from the past, present, and future, allowing them to understand history and navigate current events. It enables them to appreciate how previous generations have shaped their present reality. In essence, social studies opens their eyes to the vastness of life beyond their immediate surroundings.
