This is an excellent activity to introduce junior high and high school students to the genre of Science Fiction. I use it with 11th grade students and it prepares them for the listening passage on the NYS Regents exam. They listen to a passage on Science Fiction and take notes in the graphic organizer. After that, they take a short comprehension quiz on their notes and the listening passage. I use this before my unit on 1984, but it could be used before any science fiction piece.
