I was a lead Toddler Montessori teacher for three years and have been a lead Early Childhood (3-6yr) Montessori teacher for five years.
I like to embrace the hands on and independent nature of Montessori curriculum. I find it important that child should be able to confidently work on their own and to the best of their abilities without always having the guidance or support of a teacher. However, I also mix in most traditional and modern teaching practices, like paperwork and activities, as it is important for children to be well-rounded in everything. Everything I post here are things that I have used in my own classroom and have shared with fellow teachers and friends. I hope this all finds you well on your journey, as well.

I've wanted to be a social studies teacher since I was in the 7th grade. I went to Adelphi University received a BA in History and a Masters' Degree in Education. Soon, I found myself in a Montessori School where I was trained and completed a teaching certificate for Early Childhood Education (3-6yrs). I am currently back at Adelphi University for an addition Masters' degree in an Early Childhood and Special Education dual certification with a teaching certificate. I am also a Black Belt in Mixed Martial Arts from Tiger Schulmann's and have had the pleasure of teaching a Cubs Preschool martial arts program.
