This book walks students through decomposing a rectangle to find the formula for a triangle in the simplest of steps. It also includes lyrics to a song to help students remember the steps of finding the area of a triangle as well as a page devoted to right, acute, obtuse and practice pages. Volume with Whole Numbers Book
This is a great book to help introduce or review calculating volume. I use it as guided notes that my students glue into their math journals. Pages 1-2 copy back to back. Page 3 fold in half and staple in. The fourth page I cut in half and my students match the dimensions with the volume and glue just the top so they can see the matching volume.

Polygon Guided Note Page
This is a 1-page guided note sheet for students. Students fill in the blanks on the note page during a lesson about polygons. This note page covers shapes that are and are not polygons, the 3 attributes of all polygons, names of common polygons (triangle, quadrilateral, pentagon, hexagon, octagon), and the roots "tri" and "quad".
