French Revolution Speech! Research Guide and Template
In this activity, students become a figure from the French Revolution. With a step by step research guide, students learn about the French Revolution and exploring multiple perspectives. Students also practice their creativity by using the speech template to write their own passionate speech from the perspective of their character. This activity can be used in conjunction with a French Revolution simulation or trial!

This is a very thorough peer review and breakdown of their essays. It is done in partners, and it allows students to focus on their organization and development of ideas. To do this activity, students will need a completed essay to review. This is tailored for an expository essay- standardized testing essay. I recommend reviewing or modeling finding thesis and other elements of writing prior to pairing students.
