The Same BUT Different - Place Value
Using place value charts and blocks, this 30 minute video lesson teaches students how to show a number in 2 different ways. They are shown how when one place value changes - regroups - you have to add a ten to the lower place value. It also stresses the importance of adding vertically going from greatest to least to find the sum of BOTH ways to show the number.
