Description

A Base Ten Mini Lesson and Guided Practice together! This is a fantastic combo for your 1st or 2nd grade students to see how 10 Units make a Rod, and how 10 Rods make a Flat!

The preview only shows a portion of the video. I have skipped some parts so you can see what you get.

After your students have seen the units creatively build the rod, and the rods creatively build the flat; they will have the opportunity to read 10 numbers using hundreds, tens and ones.

A recording sheet has been provided.

The Layout:

After the Base Ten Review, your students will begin reading numbers and recording them on their video recording sheet. Immediately after they have written the number, they will check it with the narrator.

I tried to pace the video to fit the needs of ages 6-8, but since all children are different, you may need stop the video if necessary. The video is 10 minutes long.
