A PowerPoint Presentation that goes along with my FREE product "Commutative, Associative, and Distributive Property Table". Includes examples of how to use the properties to change problems for mental math. (I prefer to use my other product "Simplifying Expressions" for teaching the distributive property.)
About this resourceThis slideshow is the perfect handout to guide your students through the purpose of the mean and standard deviation and how they tie in with the normal distribution, including standard (z) scores. It is an easy to understand tool for teacher presentation and/or student handout. This download also includes one normal distribution question (parts a-d) along with solutions. This product comes in color only. No B&W option at this stage.*****************************************

This product covers chord theorems with circles. Starting with a short review of the definition of a chord, radius, and central angles, the product includes coverage on radius-chord relationship, equidistant chords and their corresponding arcs, equidistant chords and the central angles attached to them as well as the showing the opposite of each theorem is also true. Each theorem includes descriptions, pictures, and multiple examples. This product includes a lesson plan, a powerpoint that leads
This is an introduction lesson to the Elementary/Intermediate Algebra which defines what is the real numbers set as well as different types of set notations. Besides important definitions of terms used through whole algebra there are included properties for real numbers and visual chart of real numbers subsets. I use the nestled principle to explain for students how each subset belongs to its set. It is even more powerful if you have some objects to show how each one piece is nested inside bigge
This is a handout or mini lesson on the real number system. The document includes a discussion of number systems overall. There is a FAQ section that discusses the history of our number system, other number systems, the uniqueness of zero, and the difference between number and numerals. The second page contains an easy to understand diagram and definitions for the various sets of the real number system.

Prof. Hoff is back again with his unique method of teaching mathematics. This time, he is review operations with numbers. In this video, he frames numbers in terms of place values and the number line and uses that background to present operations with whole numbers.
The professor's approach combines a little bit of math history along with an explanation of why things are done they way we have always been taught - and he throws in some alternative procedures as well. His method relies on show

Many of our students are taught the acronym of Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally to simplify expressions. However, without the correct ORDER being followed, students will obtain the incorrect answers. As a high school Algebra II teacher, it is very frustrating to try to correct the incorrectly taught concept of simplifying expressions. Instead of being helpful, I find this and other acronyms to be a handicap for my students.
