Start Your Own School Newspaper and Newspaper Club
Starting your own school newspaper isn't difficult. I've run (and created) our school newspaper for three years. This document has most of the materials you'll need for set-up. The newspaper club in my school was open to fifth grade students and printed copies were distributed in the school to faulty, staff, classroom libraries, school common areas, and to the newspaper club members. Our newspaper is usually 12 pages long and we use Microsoft Publisher to create it.

Being a Writer Grade 6: Functional Writing
Our district is starting to implement Being a Writer and Making Meaning this school year. I have created PowerPoint Slides that go along with the units so that I don't need the manual in front of me.
