If your district is like mine, you have been given free rein to collect data however you choose. I have changed my progress monitoring data collection sheet several times over the past 4 years. This project is designed for high school SDC students and is scaffolded appropriately.
This budget project is a great assignment for high school seniors learning how to create a monthly budget. This project begins one month after graduation and asks students to create a budget including projected income, expenses and savings goals. I have used this form to help me track individual students' progress on their IEP goals and objectives throughout the year. I created this for my 9th grade students who were struggling with taking notes for a research project.
Rather than using index cards, which are easily lost, this template can be photocopied and hole-punched to be placed into a binder, or stuck in a folder, for easy access. This is a scale I created to show students that sometimes big emotions and reactions are appropriate, but they need to match the size of the problem.
