A SIMPLE RECITAL FOR REMEMBRANCE DAY OR VETERANS DAY
I’ve used this recital with my primary classes. Fortunately, it doesn’t require much preparation and what it does need is neatly laid out in this easy to use package (other than the red bristol board and the 11 X 17 photocopy paper). Due to the large, red poppies, it creates a visually engaging performance. This is a reader's theatre script that tells the story of the Battle of Plains of Abraham from both the British and French point of view. Characters include General Wolfe and his staff, General Montcalm, Governor Vaudreuil, and Bishop Pontbriand, as well as several regular soldiers on both sides of the conflict.
