A SIMPLE RECITAL FOR REMEMBRANCE DAY OR VETERANS DAY

I’ve used this recital with my primary classes. Fortunately, it doesn’t require much preparation and what it does need is neatly laid out in this easy to use package (other than the red bristol board and the 11 X 17 photocopy paper). Due to the large, red poppies, it creates a visually engaging performance. If your class has more or fewer than 24 students, it is easy to eliminate some verbs or brainstorm other verbs for the presentation.
Your job will be to:
1. create a large red poppy for each student;
2. enlarge, print and glue the verbs (included) on the poppies;
3. send home a letter (included);
4. practise the students’ line-up order and the recital in the class;
5. practise the correct order before the recital in the gym on the stage and perhaps put tape on the stage floor to show where they need to start the line.
