This is a science lesson on how astronomical events affect animals. Specifically, I videotaped the Flamingos at the San Antonio Zoo on April 8, 2024 during the total eclipse to see how their behavior may or may not change. Students create an hypothesis based on their prior knowledge, observe the flamingos during the eclipse as it gets dark, then record or discuss their observations that prove or dis-prove their hypothesis.
