All my life, I have known I was going to be a teacher - no questions asked. At 16, I began working at a preschool and taught there for 8 years until I got my degree in K-5 education. I have had experience teaching in all grades from K to 5th grade, and am currently in my 2nd year of teaching fabulous 4th graders!
Let's be honest...both teachers and students enjoy school so much more when the activities are actually fun! I can either drive myself crazy trying to get a room full of learners to do typical boring worksheets or I .provide them with activities and lessons that they really want to participate in. I love the feeling when I tell students "time's up!" for literacy and math stations and I get 26 faces just begging me for 5 more minutes of fun and learning. It's a great feeling to know that I can really instill a lifetime love of learning into each one of my kids and that they actually look forward to each day of school.
