Guiding Question: What do poetry and music have in common? Edgar Allan Poe's famous poem, “The Raven,” is noted for its lingering rhythms, sonorous rhymes, and Gothic themes. Sounds musical, doesn't it? But these are literary devices that were used in creating the mood in his poem. The Good Samaritan Luke 10:30-36

The story of the Good Samaritan resonates with many Christians. I believe scriptural lyrics in Christian songs are very important and I believe this song is aligned with Jesus’ parable found in Luke 10:30-36. My words will pass over time. God’s word will not. I have tried to write Jesus’ parable intact and in song format. As for the compositions, these can be arranged or recomposed if needed for anyone interested in recording, performing, arranging, notating, and/or publishing. If you are inter
