Golden Ratio: A Human Body Proportions Project (Ratios and Proportions) PHI
My students loved this project. After a unit on ratios and proportions, I did a mini-lesson on the Fibonacci Sequence and the Golden Ratio. This projects asks the kids to discover whether or not any of their body measurement ratios match the Golden Ratio. I saw lessons similar to this on the internet, but this includes diagrams, tables, and notes that help scaffold the lesson for the students.

Distance Formula Interactive Foldable
This interactive foldable was tested on 113 students after midyear assessment data indicated that students were not performing this skill well. Pre-test results indicated that students were scoring on average 52% on this skill. After using the foldable for two weeks in class, the performance rose to an average score of 87%!!! Measure Up!
This unit progressively teaches students to interact with a ruler or tape measure marked in 16ths. It begins with fraction strip and fraction operation reminders and builds-in conceptual thinking such as "how many 3/4 ths are in 3 wholes?"Good for multiple grades and applications--from elementary to CTE courses.

Parallel lines cut by a transversal angle relationships & algebra notes
6.3 Parallel lines cut by a transversal students learn all the vocab AND how to apply the relationships of the angles by ultimately determining if they are congruent supplementary. Then students use this knowledge and vocab to solve expressions and identify the different types of angles. Used in HS math 2 class Geometry.
