This worksheet allows students the space to compose rhythms using quarter note, quarter rest, beamed eighth notes, and sixteenth notes. Students should each receive a handful of navy beans. They should also receive a paper or sentence strip with 4 sections on it. Each section represents a beat and each bean represents an individual sound.
