Note and Rest Tables
This is a set of two tables of notes and rests - whole, half, quarter, and eighth - laid out by name, number of beats, and what I have the students say when reading rhythms together. I find this important to get the distinction between the name of the note and the word/syllables used when reading rhythms - it seems to help with long term recall of the note names. These notes have all 9 of the National Standards for Music Education written on them. These notes are good for displaying in the Music classroom to make teachers and students aware of how the lesson at hand correlates to the National Standards for Music Education.
