I have been teaching in music schools for 3 years and privately for 5 years now.
I like having kids engage in meaningful ways so I switch things up depending on the mood in the classroom. My way of thinking is: if the students understands the material, he or she will likely be engaged. Things that aren't interesting to students are the things they either don't understand or are too easy for them. The goal is to find that sweet spot between material being too hard and too easy so that it can activate brain cells and stimulate student to participate in the lesson.
I received numerous awards for my piano playing such as prizes in competitions, scholarships and awards from my Faculty for the best students.
I've studied on piano department in Faculty of music in Belgrade where I received my Bachelor's and Master's diploma. I am currently on my DMA studies on the same faculty. I attended masterclasses by different eminent professors from European universities.
