This story may be used simply as a Christmas (or holiday-based) story OR as a skit in which a narrator reads it and students act out what is happening. When I used it, I included songs in various places for the performing group to sing as a whole, had a teacher read the story (narrator), and had selected students act out the parts of the characters.
Stinky Coffee (Children's Song w/ Stage Directions and Orchestrated Recordings)
A prekindergarten class came into my music room just after I had used my coffee maker and one of the students asked, "What's that smell"? I explained and the student said, "Well, it stinks!", and started chanting the lyrics. The entire class joined in.
