Finding Reliable Scientific Sources PowerPoint Presentation
A thorough PowerPoint presentation outlining how to find reliable scientific sources, different kinds of sources, and the red flags of pseudoscience, as well as my own personal web of trust. I used this in a Chemistry class, but it can be applied to any class where you may be doing scientific research. The template is an original design, and can be adapted for other topics. Some special fonts are used in this presentation, but all are freely available.

Macromolecules Jigsaw
This activity involves students working in groups to learn about a specific type of macromolecule. The group then puts the information they learned into a class slideshow. Finally, they present their macromolecule to the class. This allows a student to become an expert in one macromolecule type and then lets their classmates teach them the others. This is my introduction to Chemistry for non-chemistry courses. It covers atomic structure, how to read the Periodic Table (including trends), Bohr models, Lewis structures and types of bonds. There are lots of animations. I usually spend about three weeks teaching this information to my high school freshmen.
The beauty is the simplicity which makes this product great for middle school or high school. Since it is editable you can customize it to your specific needs.

Invisible Ink Power Point
This Power Point file accompanies the "Invisible Ink Lab" that is also available on my website. The seven slides describe the three classes of invisible inks: heat-released, chemical released, and fluorescing.
