My 1st and 2nd graders LOVED doing repeat reading. We used these simple bar graphs to document our reading fluency over time. Set your timer and read a poem or short passage. Color in your bar graph to show the amount of seconds it took to read. Read it again! Did your time go down?!?! And then a third! Practice doesn't make perfect, but it DOES make CONFIDENT readers!!!
