Freeze Game to Franz Haydn

Created by

I took a classical song, written by Franz Haydn(1732-1809) and turned it into a wonderful game about sound and silence! Children will tip-toe,wiggle, jump and gallop to the beautiful music and then FREEZE! on the silences. Great way to teach them about rests. You can also use it to teach form as each new section has a different movement as well as instrumentation.

This is a great warm up track to start any physical education class. I have been using this warm up in my class now for about a year and my students are still liking it. My older kids just walk into my gym and automatically start walking around my track which helps get class started. My younger kids are starting to do the same thing. Instead of wasting time with squad spot stretching, try this warm up that has music, running and age appropriate stretching for elementary and middle school student

What a great way to learn 4/4 time, by counting, clapping, snapping, patting and tapping your toes! The you are asked to do all four! I have intentionally designed the movements to move in order from "top to bottom". Written for children to be able to sing!So "come along and count to four and sing this song with me!"

March,jump,slide,tip-toe and snap to the delightful tune by Leon Jessel(1857-1942). Great for PE time and when the students have a bad case of "wiggles". Fast paced music complete with snares, cymbals and brass.
