This is my 8th year teaching elementary physical education. I love coming to work each day and growing as an educator. I am so grateful to have the opportunity to teach young children and watch them grow into young adults.
I try to focus on developing motor skills and improve students personal fitness levels through purposeful, creative and enjoyable developmentally appropriate activities. I like to give my students many different ways to learn using technology and many hand on constructivist methods. Students love to come to physical education and my goal is to always leave them feeling successful.
I was presented with the SUNY Cortland Anthony P. Tesori Award which exhibits outstanding teaching potential as demonstrated by excellence in student teaching in 2009.
I attended the State University of New York at Cortland and graduated with a Health and Physical Education degree.
I played hockey for 20+ years winning state championships and a national championship. I played ice hockey for SUNY Cortland.
