Coyote and The Rolling Stone - Small Group Reader's Theater
This Reader's Theater is for 3 students. It is based on a Goshute tale of how Coyote didn't listen to his brother. I use reader's theaters to encourage my students to practice fluency. It is a fun way to do something that they need. Most of my scripts are in black and white so they photo copy easily. The Island of Earth & Beginning of Time ~ a story of a Native American myth
This is a nice little story based on a Cherokee myth about the beginning of time. I originally wrote it for my 2nd grade class to learn proper nouns and thought it was also nice as story by itself. Plus, it got me drawing again, and even though I've seen better illustrations, they are mine and were fun to do.
This can also be used for Thanksgiving!

Lakota Sioux Culture Centers
In these four centers, students "research" aspects of Lakota Sioux culture by reading a provided "article" (1-4 paragraphs) and recording the important information on a report sheet.
