Celebrating Famous Black Mathematicians for Black History Month Digital or Print
I have compiled a list of 20 famous black mathematicians (this could be used for math or STEM classes), one for each day of February, Black History Month. This could be given to students as a slideshow to look through and fill out an attached worksheet (available digitally or through print) or be gone over on a day to day basis as a warm-up. Used for grades 7-12. Students do research (links are included) of their dream vacation, (flight, hotel, entertainment, and food). They then have to record their calculations on the attached spreadsheet and stay within their budget. There are some percentage questions (calculating tip and taxes on food/hotel).
