Dream Vacation Budget Project

Used for grades 7-12. Students do research (links are included) of their dream vacation, (flight, hotel, entertainment, and food). They then have to record their calculations on the attached spreadsheet and stay within their budget. There are some percentage questions (calculating tip and taxes on food/hotel). There are no formulas used in the google sheets so students are required to do their own calculations. Takes about 2 class days (45 min each), to complete.

Great for the end of the year, around the holidays when you need an extra assignment, a budgeting unit/class, practice on real-world applications of tax/tip, research, and calculations.
