Compare World Religions Chart --Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism
This is a chart I use with my students to compare five major world religions-- Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Hinduism and Buddhism. It is meant to have the students learn the basics and be able to know the major aspects of all the religions. I included a blank copy and a completed version. In my social studies textbooks, there is quite a bit of info about each of these religions. This can also be done this as a group jigsaw activity. Feel free to edit it to suits your needs. Explore Hanukkah and how it is celebrated in four major cities in Latin America (CDMX, Santiago, Buenos Aires, Montevideo). Easter / La Semana Santa in Spain and Mexico: Reading & Activities
This is a reading activity for Spanish class about La Semana Santa / Las Pascuas in Spain and Mexico. It is also a good emergency substitute activity to keep handy in your sub folder. It can be used any time in April. It includes three articles related to Holy Week and Easter traditions in those two countries. Comprehension questions follow each article. Also included is a crossword puzzle featuring some of the terms from the articles.

Elements of Culture - Handouts and Graphic Organizers
Included are handouts for teaching the seven elements of culture. The first handout is a basic outline format describing each of the seven elements. Handout two is a set of key questions to ask about a culture that address each element. There are also seven graphic organizers included, one for each element, that are meant to provide students space to write about a particular culture. I have added an additional graphic organizer meant to allow students to summarize the seven elements.
