The Principal's New Clothes - Reader's Theater for the Entire Class!

Created by

This reader's theater is for the entire class! You will need at least 11 students but more is always better. This ties into my other twisted fairy tales except that it was written to do as a class. I split my class into two groups and both groups practice. When we perform we discuss what things we liked about each group. I use this to introduce the small group reader's theaters I have them do the rest of the year. I have also come back to the script at the end of the year to perform in front of

Reader's Theatre Mystery Inferring Script FREEBIE

I created a series of Reader's Theatre scripts that are suitable for middle to upper primary. These entertaining scripts are mysteries for the performers and audience! Students build comprehension, fluency and accuracy during this activity. The idea is that students infer where the characters are, who they are and what they are doing. They are deliberately tricky! See my store for the other 7 scripts.

Reader's Theatre Full Class Script: A New Way

This is an original reader's theatre script written for 3rd-5th grade classrooms. This is a full class script using the same 9 lovable characters -but separated into 3 'easy to work' scenes so that larger classrooms can work on a complete piece but still have the advantage of br

Performed this script with my fifth graders for several years. Almost all of the dialogue comes directly from the book. The only additional character is that of "grandma" Belle (in the story she broke off her engagement to Scrooge) as the narrator's voice and to tie up the story at the end. Final pages include all blocking instructions for each scene. Enjoy!

It is just one more way to tie Spanish, Language Arts, and Math together. Math has a language all its own and it is very important to find ways to practice it.
