Persuasive Writing Activity: Dropping Atomic Bombs on Japan?
Students will work as an adviser for President Truman defending a side as to whether or not the United States should have drop the atomic bombs on Japan. Students are given a rubric, a two page document explaining both sides, a document that explains how to write their essay and a page for struggling students that has sentence starters. This activity will help them become much stronger writers.
