Guided Reading Levels Pre-Reader to D
Pre-reader level through a level 'D' reader (Fountas and Pinnell). Checklist provides goals for reader of each level. When learning to read levels are fluid and some components of reading carry over to the next level.
I use the checklist as a basic guide of what to work on with students at each level. I keep track of what goals they've completed and what we still need to work on.
*Not all skills maybe mastered before moving to the next level as some skills are carried over to the next level.

I'm a huge fan of Graphic Organizers and think they are a great asset when teaching students how to organize their thoughts into a well written piece regardless of age.
Simply insert the Main Idea in the Center Block. Next, insert supporting details into blocks 1,2, and 3. Finally, insert a Conclusion starter in the 4th block.

Reading Summary Worksheet for NONWRITERS
This is a simple worksheet designed to be used with storylineonline.net or any other read-aloud storybook program.
