This is my first in a series of lesson plans to introduce POW+TIDE to my first grade students. This begins with Stage 1 of SRSD. The plans cover explaining POW and trying it out, then introducing TIDE and identifying the parts in an exemplar text. The plans are in the "Acquisition" format- planning for the concept rather than the day. These plans took me around 2 weeks to teach.
