Counting 3 & 4 Syllables
Comprehensive list of words to be used for counting 3 & 4 syllable words. Research shows phonological awareness is a prerequisite for improving literacy skills. This is an excellent activity for dyslexic and struggling readers. Instructions on activity: Teacher says the word - students repeat the words and name the number of syllables. First/Then Schedule (autism)
This schedule helps my younger students transition better. It is also a great tool for students who need visual cues. It can be used with pictures or words and it can be used in any situation. Hand Washing Lesson
This download includes a 2 day lesson plan that introduces students to the concept of “germs”, a visual schedule for the steps to hand washing, a “Good Times to Wash Your Hands” poster, and a comprehension check assessment. Vocabulary: Dolch Word Sentences (English and Spanish)
Believe it or not there is the equivalent Dolch words in Spanish. This list is included in this lesson along with all the other Dolch words and a great activity to go with it. Students can do this activity independently or with others. Use it to send home for extra help or after school tutoring. You have to do something different for tutoring to make it more engaging.
