I have had many years of experience working with people with disabilities. I have broadened my experience to working with adults and children of all ages and abilities including autism, ADHD, emotional disturbance, and their typically developing peers from preschool to the 5th grade. I then opened my own home based program.
My personal philosophy that guides my teaching is that I am here to serve children and families and assist them in identifying their needs and priorities in an inclusive setting. I am here to support them in meeting those needs by creating individualized goals. I am here to provide positive, culturally sensitive, family centered services to help children and families meet their individual needs. I like to incorporate the use of visuals and individualized learning in my activities.
