Observing Live Cricket Lab
This is an engaging lab that involves live crickets. The students often rank this lab as one of their favorites in my Zoology class. The lab goes over ecological systems (they create a food web with a cricket in it) and highlights animal behavior. Creating the Ideal Species
Using their understanding of Evolution, and factors that affect the development of species, students will develop a fictitious species that meets the demands of a particular ecosystem.
