Journalism Feature Article brainstorm/outline (used as final exam)
I used this with a class of advance 8th grade students. I also introduced this idea to the high school journalism teacher. The students create a two-page spread feature article as their final exam for the class. (or midterm).
The complete document contains examples of pull-out items (comic/clipart/boxes). It explains how each should be used. It also helps students brainstorm and begin to outline their entire feature article. I have used this in the first step of writing a feature article.
