As a fifth grade Reading teacher, I have my kids work on vocabulary they will need for the STAAR test. This first set is for the first six weeks, and I plan to add another set each six weeks. My kids have a glossary that they use to look words up. I even make them sit out of recess until the quiz score is acceptable to me! I usually give a week to study and practice.
