Solving One and Two Step Equations Guided Notes:This is a set of guided notes designed to show students how to solve one and two step equations. Answer keys are included! I give my students these guided notes one page at a time. Then, I post them on the smart board and we fill them out together. Why Do We Need to Flip the Inequality Sign? Discovery Activity
This one-page discovery activity leads the student through trial and error to discover what happens when an operation is applied to a true inequality statement. 6 examples are given - two will lead to a false statement (multiplying and dividing both sides by a negative).
