Inside Out - Film Guide - PIXAR

This is a 27 questions film guide to get students critically thinking about the more complex parts of the brain and issues people go through that the film Inside Out captures so well. The depth of these questions requires the teachers to pause the video and discuss with the class. Most likely this will be appropriate for middle to high school level. I made the guide for my seniors and had some great conversations. Would be great in a psychology class as well.

My students have always enjoyed Rebel Without a Cause starring James Dean. I've used it with Basic 12th grade and with advanced Film and Novel classes, usually in conjunction with Catcher in the Rye, but not always. The only complaint tends to be that the teenagers are the using weird slang and are in weird cliques. Instead of ignoring the complaint, I had students create an alternative.
