This is the method and accompanying worksheet I use to teach my ELL and remedial students how to find direct object, indirect object, predicate nominative and predicate adjective. This method assumes that they already can find the subject and the verb. This is especially helpful if they *know* it is an action or linking verb, yet still get the answer wrong.
