All Across Canada Tour - final project re: Canadian Provinces
This is a great final project after a unit about the Canadian provinces. Each student is assigned a Departure province and a Destination province... they will learn a tremendous amount about each.
They are also asked to determine the cardinal directions and how they would travel from one province to the other. They need to come up with a couple facts about each province they pass through.

On Friday, May 28th 2021, it was announced that the remains of 215 Indigenous children were found buried on the grounds of this school. It is believed that some of the children are as young as three years old. This lesson looks at what exactly happened, a closer look at Residential schools in Canada, the Indian Act, and where Canada is now.
