Put one of these bookmarks in your students' home-reading bags so parents have it handy while reading with their child. The comprehension questions on one side list questions parents can ask to strengthen children's comprehension in the areas of: making connections, asking questions, visualizing, inferring, determining importance, and synthesizing. The other side lists tips and decoding prompts for parent to use when the child reads. To prepare: copy, fold in 1/2, and laminate (if you want).
