"Don't Be Negative" is a 4 minute, karaoke style video, that students can sing along with.
I wrote it as an introduction to the concept of integers. I use it with my 6th graders as a "springboard" to a discussion about integers and their applications. Prime Number song
One of the most difficult 4th grade standards, in my opinion, is identifying prime & composite numbers between 1-100. I decided to tackle this standard with a song and nearly all my students now know every prime number between 1-100! This goofy song (to the tune of What Does the Fox Say?) may have your students annoying others when rattling off these lyrics, but they'll certainly know their prime numbers, and the difference between a prime and composite number!
