Community Engagement - Creating Public Art: Digital Story
This Digital Storytelling Unit is designed to be completed over the course of three to four weeks. Students, working in teams of three to four, will explore core curricular content and be required to make an engaging and creative short video about that content. This Digital Storytelling unit is part of a larger initiative called Meridian Stories (www.meridianstories.com).
Each Digital Storytelling Unit:
• Should take three to four weeks to complete;

Historical Instagram Account
The students are to select a historical figure and act as that person is alive today and taking pictures like many teenagers do today. The example I have is FDR. All the pictures, I took myself and I added captions and emojis. The students loved doing this. They have to research their figure beforehand, but then take pictures anytime. Home, school, work, mall, whatever comes to mind. Highly recommend this!
